Things have been quite busy around the Jones' home as of late. Getting our home ready to put up on the market this Monday, boxing up stuff we do not use and putting it in a storage unit for a month and a half. Cleaning, packing and cleaning some more...fun times. We are putting it up for sale or for rent...whichever comes first. I'm thinking rental will happen first. But God may provide a miracle and send someone to buy it from us? I'm trying to not let myself get anxious about keeping the house in tip top shape for people to come look at it and having to leave while they do so. Putting that anxiety at the feet of Jesus and praying I do not continue to pick it up!
We should be closing on the new home beginning of September if things continue to go in the right direction. I am still not holding my breath as I know it is always possible for it not to go through. So better to not get too excited until its a for sure thing.
I've also been trying to change my families diet by eliminating all soy, corn, bad oils, enriched flour, etc out of our diet. Pretty much everything is GMO and has the above ingredients. So its been a little discouraging, but I am determined to keep our family healthy even if it means I'll be in the kitchen at all times preparing and cooking from scratch. Of course, I'm giving myself grace to do a little at a time. Will keep you updated on the process!
Our garden has been doing pretty well. The swiss chard looks magnificent as does the carrots and cherry tomatoes. I actually got to spend some time with the woman of the house we are buying and she was able to show me what herbs were what in her magnificent herb garden (I hope I remember!), and her veggies as well. I really hope that I will be able to do much more gardening next year. I think having a baby who is walking and not on my hip most of the day will help!
Our dryer is no longer working so my fabulous husband fixed my clothes line and I am SO excited! These little things in life bring me so much joy! :)
So that's it for now...just wanted to pop in a say hello to you and let you know we haven't fallen off the face of the earth!
Here's a cute video Ireland made of sweet Noble...he is such a happy baby and so much fun to be around (as are the rest of the children)...enjoy!
